[edit] Radio Pages

Glad someone is working on the radio pages. You are doing some good work. I actually was wondering who had done that huge update in Alaska and said "that's some good work" after seeing it. Keep up the good work and PM me if you ever need help with stations in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or the Pittsburgh, Johnstown/Altoona, Harrisburg, Chambersburg, and Bedford/Somerset sections of Pennsylvania. Rock on...SVRTVDude 04:46, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the props, I must say the same back at ya! As for updates in your area - I would rather not "step on your toes" and leave those updates to you. However, we could collaborate where I would be more than happy to help you fill in any gaps of information you may have and I would like for you to do the same for me. I used to work in the radio industry and have access to some information that is difficult or impossible to find google search. I also subscribe to 100,000watts.com, which offers a wealth of information, however some of it is innacurate.
I have found myself as being quite scattered and I need to focus on just one area of updates. Must be my ADHD...lol! My latest quest has been the updates of modern rock radio stations as so many different names are given to describe the format - rightfully so as it's such an ambiguous name. Anyways, feel free to contact me anytime with any question, concern, etc... I don't mind any criticism as the wikipedia project isn't designed to only fit my tastes and I strive to prevent any personal bias from affecting the formatting and contents of my articles; especially the article edits where the article was created by another fellow editor. Much thanks! I wouldn't feel stepped on, if you find information or have some news, go right ahead and put it on a page...I am check the pages out, but with people I trust (you included), I just let add and don't even check cause I know the info will be accurate :o)
Speaking of impossible info, would you have access to information about KXGN-TV? I ask, cause I need a reference that says KXGN-TV is the only station affiliated with two of the Big 3 networks that isn't wiki related. Darned references:).
Keep up the good work and stay warm.....SVRTVDude 06:09, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Congrats

For the MASSIVE amount of contributions you have made to the TV and Radio pages, especially the Alaska pages, and the hard work you are doing for a webcasters section...there is no question that you deserve this barnstar. Congrats! - SVRTVDude (Yell - Work) 08:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:KOPT-AM.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:KOPT-AM.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:03, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:KRSH-FM.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KRSH-FM.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 18:20, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:KZOK-FM.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KZOK-FM.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

[edit] Image:KOZZ-FM.png

I have tagged Image:KOZZ-FM.png as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 03:53, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
