[edit] Phil Mitchell

not read through what you've done here yet but where you've got "sharongate needs writing up properly" it doesn't, it's possible to just briefly describe it and link to the sharongate article where all the details are given. same for "who shot phil?" — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 14:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] To do

List of Gimme Gimme Gimme episodes

[edit] I like

Cool, this looks good. I thought you were against doing this though. what made you change your mind? I was planning to do something similar for the 90s too. I was going to do two pages (1990-1994 and 1995-1999), so pages didnt get overly long, but I dont know whether to bother. What do you think? While i'm on the subject do you have any objections to me merging some of the minor 80s character pages I made into the 80s list? like Ernie Mears, and Ruth Lyons etc. Gungadin 17:47, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Well it was the "having the redirect page in the characters category" that swung it for me - as long as the redirect pages are there, I'm okay with it. I like the idea of splitting every five years, this one's long enough already! Also, I have no problem with you merging in the minor characters... but we need to define what we determine to be minor... When I was looking at the 2007/2006 characters who already have articles, it was really hard to decide... I has a crisis over Rachel Branning and Steve Clarke - I put Rachel here because she appeared in 4 episodes, but I didn't know about Steve, so I thought that if I'm doubting it, it's probably better off as it is, right? -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 18:14, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, and I wasn't sure about Auntie Irene either - so I made her an article as she appeared over wuite a span of time... -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 18:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeh I had some problems deciding too, which is why I didnt include more in the 80s one initially. We could possibly have a separate list for recurring characters like Emmerdale has done. Characters like Irene, Sid Clarke, Reg Sparrow, Ernie Mears, Uncle and Edie Smith (and possibly Rachel Branning too) could go in there for instance, because even though they appeared over several years, they were only in about 5-10 episodes each. We could split them into decades or just have them all together.
Initially I was thinking one time characters, or ones that appeared in only a couple of episodes were minor.Gungadin 19:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
RE: the recurring characters idea, I don't like it - they should either be included in the minor lists, or in their own article, we don't want too many lists. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 21:30, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Well how about we just say that everyone who isnt/wasnt a regular character is automatically a minor character, and the deciding factor should be whether or not we have enough material to make a decent article. If a minor has a long enough page then it can have its own page. What do you think? Gungadin 21:56, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Yep, apart from current characters, as we have yet to find out if they're worthy of a full article. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 22:04, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

What about babies and children, Like Little Ali, Osman kids, Kofi and the willmott brown kids etc. Should they be counted as minors? Because some of them are quite short even though they were on-screen regualrly. I suppose we could do a separate list for kids and babies, leaving current ones and those who have reasonable content in their articles. What do you think?Gungadin 22:19, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

As they appeared over such a long period of time, I think they constitute their own articles to be honest, with the exception of Sophie and Luke Willmott-Brown... and I don't think we should do any other lists beyond the minor ones - it could turn into a Harry Potter situation where it's so confusing because they have so many different lists of characters! -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 22:23, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
