[edit] Biography

He first began his road to stardom at the tender age of 9. It was then where he learned the art of gracefully putting his words together. Influenced and inspired by great MC's such as Rakim, LL Cool J, and EPMD, Trazz set out to pave his own path to greatness. Growing up in the downtrodden industrial city of Buffalo was an experience like no other. "You had to grow up fast" quotes the 23-year-old rapper. "The weather, the struggle, the entire essence is in my music. Its unavoidable."

It was on those streets where he learned his battle rap style consisting of catchy punch lines and metaphors. After winning a multitude of battles and talent competitions, Trazz decided to take his gift to another level by entering the studio and recording his first demo at the age of 15. The seed was planted for a work ethic that has made the studio his second home. Trazz went on to record more songs, making the transformation from rapper to artist. In October of 1998, he fell victim to a situation of being in the wrong place at the wrong time suffering five stab wounds to his lower abdomen.

After his recovery, in late 2003, Trazz reunited in the studio with long-time friend DJ Noodles and became the first artist signed to Noodles' FIX YOUR FACE MUSIC. The alliance has spawned several remixes, shows and press articles. Trazz has been on several high-selling 12" vinyls as well as garnering radio spins in the US and Canada.

Trazz differentiates himself from other artists because of his wide range of talents and experience. He is a published ASCAP songwriter and accomplished actor. Trazz was on stage in the world premiere of the stage production Rise produced by Cheryl Salt James and Allan Houston. He can also be seen in the new Universal Pictures film The Interpreter available now on DVD. His music career to date consists of collaborations with various industry standouts such as DJ Noodles, Shaliek Rivers, (Universal) Dave Tolliver, (formerly of Men at Large), Cheryl Salt James (Formerly of Salt N Pepa) and SunN.Y. (So So Def/ Virgin).
