Tray Grinter

Trayton Golding Grinter was a first class cricketer who played 8 matches for Essex County Cricket Club between 1909 and 1921.

He was born on December 12, 1885 in Leytonstone, Essex and died on April 21, 1966 in Frinton-on-Sea.

A right handed batsman, he scored 201 runs at 16.75 with a highest score of 49*. He was handicapped by a war wound to his left arm but still recorded his 100th century in club cricket when he made 141 for Wanstead against Woodford Wells in 1924. He once scored 245 for Essex's club and ground team.
