Travis Hamilton Yates (born March 2, 1993 in Manchester and lives in Middleton, Greater Manchester). He started his acting career doing television adverts and appearing on television programmes A&E, Heartbeat, Dalziel and Pascoe and Doctors. He then played several characters in the comedy sketch series called Stupid for the CBBC. He joined the cast of Billy Elliot the Musical in 2005, performing as Billy. His debut was 19th December 2005. He left the show temporarily in June 2006, returning in the October of the same year replacing Liam Mower. His final performance will be on the 1st September, however it has been sold out for months.
He is now 15 and attends Cardinal Langley High School.
