Travis McGowan (born January 13, 1981 in Mildura, Australia) is an Australian speedway Rider.
He started racing motorbikes very early in his life and already by 1993 he had already won the Australian Speedway Under-16 Championship.
The success continued as the young rider won the Australian Under-21 titles three times - in 1998, 2000 and 2002 - as well as taking five consecutive victories in the Victoria State Championship between 2000 and 2005.
In 1998 Travis was offered a team spot for the King's Lynn Stars in the British Elite League. He remained in the team until 2003, before moving to the Oxford Cheetahs in 2004. In 2006 he switched to the Reading Bulldogs, where he enjoyed two fruitful years. He races in the colours of the Swindon Robins for the 2008 season.
Aside from his racing in the British Elite League, Travis McGowan has also raced for the Swedish team Rospiggarna (2006-2008) and the Polish Speedway Ekstraliga club Unia Leszno (2007-2008).
