Travelspan Guyana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Travelspan Guyana is a start-up airline based in Guyana. It plans to operate international services using a wet leased Boeing 757 aircraft[1].

[edit] History

The airline was established in April 2006[1]. The government of Guyana had authorised the granting of licenses to Caribbean Air Systems, Travelspan Guyana and E-Jet at a Cabinet meeting on 5 April 2006. The airlines were to begin operations in Guyana shortly after being granted licenses to provide regional and international services and would be establishing escrow accounts and performance bonds before starting operations, which were expected by peak season 2006[2][3]. Travelspan Guyana is a sister company of the existing Travelspan Inc. which operates charter services between Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and North America[3].

[edit] Destinations

Travelspan Guyana plans to launch services to New York and then to expand services to include Fort Lauderdale and Toronto[1].
