"Trash" is a song written and recorded by American rock band Korn for their fourth studio album, Issues. Despite not being released as a single, the song is a favorite amongst fans, and was featured on Korn's retrospective album, Greatest Hits Vol.1.

[edit] Music and structure

It is notable for being one of the first Korn songs to feature singer Jonathan Davis on drums instead of regular drummer David Silveria.

[edit] Concept

"'Trash' was a song we wrote in Atlanta. We did half the Issues album in Atlanta and half in L.A. I love that song - it came out really, really good, and I got to rock out on drums on that song, which was cool. At the time, I was going through a divorce, and I was in love with my wife-to-be, and I had a lot of crazy things going through my mind. I felt like I'd betrayed my son - I felt like I'd thrown him away, but I needed to do it to make me happy. That's what inspired me to write 'Trash.'" – Jonathan Davis
