The Transport and Logistics Centre (TALC) is a national education and training centre based in Sydney, Australia. Its prime objective is the building of capability in the transport and logistics sector in Australia.
It has a range of programmes underway, and the 4 main ones are:
1. Creation of an industry web gateway known as TILIS (Totally Intelligent Logistics Inquiry Service))
2. Creation of an online mentoring matching service
3. Creation of two professional development qualifications - a Certified Transport Planner (CTP) and a Cerrified Professional Logistician (CPL)
4. Various awareness raising projects for schools across Australia to encourage young people to consider joining the transport and logsitics industry as a career
The Foundation Director is Dr Daryll Hull FAICD FCILT

From 5 January 2007 TALC has become a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee with the same mandate as before, but with a greater capacity to undertake flexible programmes and projects. Dr Daryll Hull is the Managing Director of the new company.
