Transnational Corporation of Nigeria PLC (Transcorp), is a corporate conglomerate based in Lagos, Nigeria. Formed in 2004, Transcorp holds investments in oil, electric power, tourism, and communication companies.
In 2006, Transcorp entered the news as the purchaser of NITEL, the Nigerian government-owned telecommunications provider, and its mobile telecommunications arm, Mtel.

The company put out an initial public offer,starting January 2007 and says it is a gift to Nigerians investors.
