Transmitting Subscriber Identification

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Transmitting Subscriber Identification (TSID) is a string that identifies the sender of a fax, and is sent by the fax machine. This identification information typically appears in the header to help the recipient determine where the fax originates from. This string is usually a combination of the fax or telephone number and the name of the sender and is often the same as the Called Subscriber Identification (CSID).
