Transition temperature is the temperature at which material changes from one crystal to another. There are total seven crystal systems and every material is known to exist in one of them. At any critical value of temperature it can shift to any crystal system from the previously existing one. This temperature is known as transition temperature.
in certain cases like ferroelectric class of crystals and ferromagnetic class of crystals this temperature is known as curie temperature
