Transilvania Guitar Association

The Transilvania Guitar Association (ACT) is a nonprofit organization in Romania, Cluj-Napoca, formed in 2006, representing the bridge between the large Romanian community and the guitar.

[edit] Objectives and Activities
ACT' main interests are:
- to promote and develop the Romanian guitar school by elaborating quality standards and developing young guitarist's abilities and competence
- to stimulate the cooperation between guitar schools from different regions and to integrate the Romanian guitar school in the European context
- the improvement of the guitarist phenomenon from Romania.
ACT's main activities are:
- organizing seminars, conferences, symposium, master classes, summer schools, camps, festivals and contests
- granting scholarships
- elaborating guitar syllabuses and textbooks
- building an extended public classical guitar library of sheet music, audio and video materials
[edit] Members
ACT has three member categories:
- Associated Members: any person, of any nationality and qualification that engages to respect the statute of the association
- Titular Member: any Associated Member that actively participates to the association's activities
- Honorific Members: guitar national and international personalities, musicians and specialists with meritorious results in developing the musical phenomena
