Trank!Ascii was a short-lived underground ASCII art group founded as a spinoff of Remorse ASCII, which was in-and-of itself part of the underground ANSI art group ACiD Productions. Trank was established in 1995 by a Columbus, Ohio based IBM-PC scene ASCII artist who went by the pseudonym Whodini. The group later merged back into ACiD and was renamed back to Remorse.

- The Shining Darkness (TSD), started in Edmonton, AB in 1990 was one of the first Canadian ANSI groups. Well known ANSI artists like Pnakotic and Stranger who were later members of iCE, Gothic and ACiD got their start there.
