Trakošćan (also spelled Trakostyan) is a castle located in northern Croatia (in the Varaždin county) that dates back to the 13th century (first written mention in 1334).

The ban of Croatia Ivan Drašković (1550-1613) was from Trakošćan.

It has been meticulously maintained and is currently one of the best preserved historic buildings in the country.
