Training ground
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A training ground is an area where professional soccer teams prepare for matches, with exercise primarily concentrating on skills and fitness. Training grounds are increasingly referred to as "football academies", with many clubs making their facilities more sophisticated, and using the same area for their first team and youth development programme.
Training grounds are usually separate from a team's main ground (to avoid harming the quality of the pitch before match day), although some teams have occasionally trained inside their stadiums, for fans or the media.
