A trained panel of analysts is required to perform the sensory analysis of a any product.It requires a lot of points to be taken into account before you form a sensory panel. Screening of candidates for the panel is an important .The tests that one uses to screen people for a panel should be related to the product itself.Varying a parameter independently and keeping the other parameters constant can help you judge the sensory analysis capabilities of an individual and hence the candidates shoud be rated on the basis of their judgement. It should also be kept in mind that the candidate should be the representative of the population of the target market of the product. Respondent should also not be allergic to the product.
A history form should be fille by every panelists as it helps knowing the analysts better.
