Trailer Trash is an American comedy-horror film directed by Eli Roth. Roth is writing the film with his brother, Gabriel Roth, and his friends, Jeff Rendell, and Noah Benson. The film is currently in production and will be released on August 22, 2008.[1] After finishing his segment for Grindhouse entitled, Thanksgiving, Roth was inspired by the filmmaking process of a single movie trailer.[2] He decided to make a feature-length film consisting only of fake trailers and soon enough, Trailer Trash was born.

[edit] Plot Synopsis

Roth hasn’t said much about the actual content of the film but it has been confirmed that it will be a feature-length film made up of only faux movie trailers that are inspired by horror film trailers of the 1970s Grindhouse era.[3]

Roth has stated:

"Trailer Trash is not a horror film, it's a comedy. It will be very R-rated and completely insane...I want to make a film like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which I consider to be the greatest achievement in the history of cinema."[4]

In another interview Roth claimed:

"I want to make a movie like Borat or Jackass that’s literally completely ridiculous, totally silly and absurd, that’s just all fake trailers."[5]
