Trail of Tears is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus's 4th studio album. It was released on January 1, 1996, and is the follow up album to the 1994 album Storm in the Heartland. It was Cyrus' first release in over two years.
The album debuted at number 125 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and at number 20 on the U.S. Top Country Albums.[1]
The first single off the album, "Trail of Tears", (the title track), is unrelated to a track of the same name by Hal Ketchum on his 1993 album Sure Love.
