Trafford Council election, 2008

Elections to Trafford Council were held on 1 May 2008. One third of the council was up for election and the Conservative Party held overall control of the council. In the Clifford ward, two councillors were elected, following the resignation mid-term of Councillor Andrea Jones.[1]
Prior to the the election, the composition of the council was
- Conservative 39
- Labour 20
- Liberal Democrat 4
