Trading Up (2003) is Candace Bushnell's third book after Sex and the City and Four Blondes. Its story revolves around a Victoria's Secret model. It describes ups and downs of her modelling career, social and personal life, and the way most New Yorkers live their lives. Placed in year 2000, we have a view of 32-year-old model, her social circles and her attempts to go in higher circles of society by using men as a tool.
