Tradebank

Tradebank is a franchised barter exchange, headquarted in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, promoting a wide range of products and services through the opportunity to barter throughout North America. Each member earns the retail value of their product/service in "trade dollars." One trade dollar being equal to one U.S. dollar. As trade dollars accumulate in the account, members are then able to spend their trade dollars with any member for any product or service. This eliminates the limited one-on-one or direct trading dilemmas:

Trade dollars earned continue to accumulate in the account for members to spend as needed.

[edit] History

Tradebank International was founded in 1987 in the United States, and started franchising in 1995. In 1996, Tradebank expanded internationally by beginning operations of Tradebank Canada, which now operates 28 offices - currently the largest trade network in Canada: Tradebank Czech Republic in 1998 and Tradebank Slovakia in 1999.

As of early 2007, the fastest growing franchised region was located in Louisville, Kentucky and operated by Regional Owner Roger Williams. Referred to locally as "Kentuckiana Tradebank," this region was also honored by being nominated for the prestigious Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce "Best of our Members" awards in two categories: New Member Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year for Roger Williams.
