Tracy Higgs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tracy Higgs (also known as T.J. Higgs) (born 1970) is a psychic medium in the United Kingdom with regular appearances in the media. [1]
She has been regularly featured in Spirit and Destiny magazine and has also featured in Fate & Fortune, Take a Break and Now Magazine.[2] She was on The X Factor's Xtra Factor in 2006 and correctly predicted the Top 3 (though others claim to have done the same merely with educated guesswork [3] ). She has also been on Richard and Judy. [4]
In her predictions for 2006 (made in late 2005) she got every single one wrong. Including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie getting married, Zara Phillips and her boyfriend Mike Tindall announcing their engagement, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex announcing a pregnancy and floods in Italy, none of which occurred.[5]
In 2006 Tracy filmed a series for Zone Reality, with Tony Stockwell and Colin Fry called Psychic Private Eyes. The programme caused controversy by using psychics to investigate unsolved murders. Especially as Fry has already been at the centre of an expose, where someone switched a light on and saw him holding a trumpet which he'd just claimed was floating in the air. [6] In TV critic Charlie Brooker's review of the show for BBC Four's Screenwipe he attacked Higgs for "psychically re-enacting the murder of a child for entertainment." [7] A claim was made on her website that the show had solved a murder, but when this claim was challenged it was later removed. [8]
