Track & Field Athlete of the Year
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award is an annual prize handed out to athletes participating in track and field competitions. The election is organised by the highly rated sportsmagazine Track & Field News since 1959 on the men's side, and among the women since 1974. In general, the men's choices have been dominated by distance runners, the women's by sprinters. A panel of international track and field experts selects the winners.
