To conserve server resources on Wikipedia, it is suggested that you subst: this template when using it. This is particularly helpful for this template since it will likely appear many times on a single page. More information available on the talk page.

Also note that in order to get properly numbered lists, you cannot break the line between between the end of one template and the beginning of the next, or else the list numbering will restart.
