Copyright undetermined Merope suspects that this article (specifically [76857721 this version]) is a copyright violation, but without a source this can not be definitively determined. If this article can be shown to be a copyright infringement, please list the article on Wikipedia:Copyright problems. If you are certain that the article is not a copyright violation, you should give evidence below. Please do not remove this tag without discussion.
It may well not be a copyvio, but rather it reads more like some school essay or assignment. There was a spate of new Maya-related articles created at the same time as this one (eg Mayan Commodities) by about three to four different new accounts - possibly the results of some class exercise?
In any event, this article as well as the others need a good cleanup, since while there are some generally-correct statements, other parts (eg referring to the "Maya Empire", when there was not such a political entity) are mistaken, over-generalised or inaccurate. The prose needs a bit of work, and the actual focus/breakdown of the article topics need reorg and rename.--cjllw | TALK 11:35, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
