[edit] Whistle Register

I heard Tracie Thoms hit a lot of big notes in RENT but one in particular stood out. She hit a ver high note near the end of "Seasons Of Love." I think it was a high "C" does anyone know if that was in the whistle register or not.

A:It is not. Whistle register begins at the G6 note.

No, actually Whistle Register is a Register of the voice. And can be used to hit notes lower that E6, which is the notated start of most singers Whistle Registers and not G6 which is way higher. I think given the tone of the note and the way she sang it. I believe it to be head voice.
