May I suggest changing the linked word scripture to Bible? It would get one closer to finding Luke. Sdenny123 23:59, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Es Safa
I came to this article through Es Safa. I read the section '...es-Safa. This covers much the larger area. It is a wild and inhospitable desert tract, remote from the dwellings of men. It was well known to the ancients; but there was nothing to attract even a sparse population to its dark and forbidding rocks, burning under the suns of the wilderness. It therefore plays no part in the history' with interest. It is, not to put too finer point on it, absolute rubbish. Bedouin have inhabited this area for millennia (albeit using the area for seasonal grazing); they still do. The first Safaitic inscriptions were found in the Es Safa basalt region, and these record the many activities which went on in this area. Jasper33 17:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
