I Have to restore previous situation because different topics must be in different articles. Solution would be to make articles "Trace element (biochemistry)" and "Trace element (geochemistry)". Siim 19:39, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Split into respective areas

Would it not make more sense to put the trace minerals in their respective areas or two of the three respective areas, and merge the remainder into another article? Chris 17:42, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: merger with dietary mineral

Oppose - Even the dietary mineral article divides into two groups of which trace elements are one. trace elements are by definition those that occur in very small concentrations, thus could be any mineral or actually any chemical element. Whereas a dietary mineral specifically is one element those that is needed as nutrient.Benkeboy 20:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I added it to the Geology project, but I have a strong feeling that this article should be split.Solarapex 03:52, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
