[edit] Procedure
[edit] How to add your nomination
- Find an image related to rail transport that you think is very good. It need not be a current Featured Picture, but if it is, it could only help the nomination.
- In the nominations section below, add a third level section header with the linked image title as the section name (=== [[:Image:Image title]] ===). Below this new header, add your reasons for nomination and sign your nomination with ~~~~.
- Be sure to use the leading colon in the section heading so it displays as a link and not as the image.
- It is helpful to include a thumbnail of the image within the nomination section. If you do, be sure to put a line break ({{-}}) at the end of the nomination section so nominations don't all flow together.
[edit] Supporting and opposing
- If you approve of a picture, write "Support" followed by your reasons.
- A nomination is considered a vote in support, so nominators don't need to add another vote to their nominations.
- If you oppose a nomination, write "Oppose" followed by the reasons for your objection. Where possible, objections should provide a specific rationale that can be addressed.
- To withdraw an objection, strike it out (with <s>...</s>) rather than removing it.
[edit] Past nominations
As images are promoted, their discussions will be moved to the Archive.

[edit] Image:Eurostar at St Pancras Jan 2008.jpg
Interesting shot of both the newly restored St Pancras railway station in London, showing the Barlow roof and the locomotives which now use the terminus - two Class 373 "Eurostars". The caption at the moment is "Eurostar trains in the renovated train shed, January 2008", although a more informative caption could be added. Bob talk 14:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Support I like this one. Plenty of leading lines and items of interest. Hellbus (talk) 15:58, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- comment - its almost too symmetrical for me and the safety railings are a little distracting (but those rails that I assume are to support track signs are interesting). The exposure and colors are good, so I could see this used. I'll have to look at it more before I make a complete opinion on this one. Slambo (Speak) 16:29, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
