[edit] Image:Livesteamcropped.jpg

I put this one up at FPC (my first nomination there), but it looks certain it won't succeed there (shot with a camera of only 2 megapixels). However, Duncharris suggested it might be a candidate here, so I'll try it... I've done some editing to this version, as suggested on the FPC page by Dunc and others.

An uncropped version of this image is in the Live steam article. The photo illustrates the power of a 1:8 scale, hobby-built steam locomotive. --Janke | Talk 21:45, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

  • Support - I agree, the cropped version does look better, and it more closely follows the "rule of thirds" that I was taught way back when. I only wish there was some fill light on the valve gear. slambo 03:16, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
    • I did a little retouhing, some "artificiall fill light" on the gear now. Unfortunately (or not?), there's some steam in the way, otherwise I could have done it better. The old version is still on the upload page, if you feel this is no improvement. --Janke | Talk 10:15, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
