Category talk:Traditional gentlemen's clubs

Many of these clubs are described as "elite", "exclusive" and "prestigious". I'm sure they are (some of them, at least), but are these characterisations appropriate for an objective encyclopaedia? What does anyone think of replacing them simply with the epithet "private"? 45ossington 15:15, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

While I appreciate your attempt to be journalistic, I think it is OK to call these clubs "prestigious". It is certainly correct to call them "exclusive". I suspect that 99% of Americans believe the 9/11 firefighters were "brave". Likewise, I think that it is safe to say that these clubs are "prestigious". Is it subjective? Yes, but it is also reality. 76.80.161.236 18:05, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
