[edit] Punk Boi notes
One of the things you will learn is about how much of a load you should have at one time. One of the keys to being a successful member of the community is meeting commitments. Taking on a weekly article for Signpost, and advocacy and mediation responsibilities is incredibly time consuming, and requires the review of the articles involved, their edit histories, and the associated talk pages. Editing articles can be done over time, when you have the time, and it will help you determine the time level you can commit. --Trödel 17:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Update RE: edits to pages
The accusation of stalking is especially difficult to take because I have made efforts to not harass this user, but he still views my every action negatively:
- For example University of Alaska Anchorage should be sourced, and it should be easy to find a source since he claimed this University of Alaska based IP's edit
- In fact I have yet to find a reference for any of his edits see [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6] & [7] for examples in January.
- Additionally, most of the edits are arguably fancruft.
Therefore, I could demand references and challenge all the fancruft; however, I would view this as trying to negatively impact a user. So I only made, what I thought were, uncontroversial edits, especially considering his reaction to my edit on Chloe Sullivan. And I find that I refrained myself from those confrontational acts.

Stenhouse (1873) pp. 427-428 noted that "Missouri 'Wild-cats'... came as near to them in travelling as ... for the grazing of cattle and the purpose of the camp at night... A gentleman...advised the Arkansas company to separate from them[the Wild-cats] as much as possible while passing through the Indian Country... [and] they expressed their desire to act upon [the suggestion.]." However he also notes that, "Mrs McLean Pratt is said to have recognized one of the emigrants as [a Missourian who was] present at the murder of [Parley P. Pratt]."

- "This Mountain Meadows Massacre, in hindsight, was so obviously out of line with Brigham Young's instructions to avoid bloodshed, so inexplicagle in terms of the military situation, and so counterproductive in terms of public opinion that it has intruigued historians ever since. ...But without benefit of telegraph his instructions to leave the Fanchers alone arrived just hours too late to prevent the carnage." p 167

[edit] Mediation
Its been two days and the mediation has not been accepted, after reading the submission I thought that would be the case. I suspect it has something to do with the way the requested resolution was framed: "...An objective viewpoint of about the accuracy and verifiability of the existing title. Should the need for a move be approved, some advice on how, according to Wiki conventions, the article should best be named."
This seems to ask for the mediator to decide what is right, rather than asking the mediator to mediate the discussion and decide if there is concensus on a page move. Mediations tend to work best when the mediator does not take a side in the discussion but acts as a facilitator to see if a compromise can be reached between the different sides, and by objectively reviewing behavior so that the issues can be resolved between the parties, hopefully, without personal attacks, etc.

The majority of Southern Virginia University's students and faculty are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The University is accredited by the American Academy for Liberal Education. The campus is comprised of more than 155 acres, most of which is slated for future development and expansion. Southern Virginia University prides itself on being the only college on the eastern seaboard that promotes LDS standards, values, and beliefs. Recent statistics have shown that 75% of all worthy young men at SVU serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and 95% of all marriages take place in the Temple. Southern Virginia University is also a pioneer in the fact that it is the only University in the world to promote LDS standards and values actively and not be owned or operated by the LDS Church as is Brigham Young University.
