Template talk:TPSRM

[edit] (One problem)
One problem with this is that the move request belongs at the bottom of the talk page, just like any other discussion section. —Centrx→talk • 04:50, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- ...unless, I suppose, exceptions to this norm are permitted. Is there a way to code the template so the boilerplate appears at the top of the page whilst the discussion section is appended to its bottom...? Thanks for any help, David Kernow 13:00, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

- Probably not. You could remove the {{move}} from it entirely and just have this be the template used at the bottom. Also, the text should be the same as at Wikipedia:Requested moves, which currently can be easily copy-pasted. It may warrant some changes, but it should not have "Proposal: / Rationale: / Proposer:"; it's too long, many requested moves end up being just the single person who requested it, with no objection, and it just gets moved because it is a reasonable move. Even with a couple of commenters, the format text should not be longer than the comments. I also think voting needs to be de-emphasized. —Centrx→talk • 22:44, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for your thoughts. Have removed the (out-of-date) {{move}} as recommended, but not the tabular "Proposal - Rationale - Proposer" layout as I believe this makes it easier to see this information. That this layout sometimes remains longer than any comments subsequently accrued doesn't seem a problem to me; I don't think it happens that often. Regards, David 02:17, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
