Toytepa

Toytepa (To'ytepa in Uzbek), its name translates to "Joy Mount" in English) is a town in the Region of Tashkent (Tashkent Province, Uzbekistan). The population of the town is estimated at 21,000.

Two Zoroastrian period ossuaries, dating to the 6th century, are kept in Samarkand museum.

Important cotton processing enterprises in Toytepa, mostly Uzbek-South-Korean joint ventures. Fluorspar, the most important source of fluorine, is mined at Toytepa.
