Toyo Mitunobu

Toyo Mitunobu,(光延東洋,9 October 1897-8 June 1944) rear-admiral, employed naval Japanese in Italy ; On June 8th, 1944 was going to Merano for a naval Lecture of the Three party government, together with his assistant head Yamanaka. In Pianosinatico (close to Abetone pass) along the Gothic Line, his car was stopped by XI Zone Patriots, commanded by Manrico "Pippo" Ducceschi, and as he tried to escape, was killed so that many important documents concerning Pacific Ocean war zone were found, permitting later important actions for final victory of US Army.
