[edit] Description
Toy Pop is a simultaneous 2 player game where the players must open jars and boxes. The back story is that two dolls, Pino and Acha, have gone into the castle of the witch Majyo, who has kidnapped their friends. The bottom line is that they have to pick up various weapons to defeat different enemies.
This is the game's description as it appears after starting the game:
"PINO AND ACHA ARE GOING TO MAJYO'S CASTLE TO SAVE FRIEND"
[edit] Gameplay
Player one controls Pino (the male doll) while player two controls Acha (the female doll). The object in each room is to free the hearts scattered throughout the room so that the door opens and allows them entry to the next room. Along the way, they need to get around the myriad of enemies that Majyo has sent to stop them. They must fight back with the weapons that can be uncovered. Scattered throughout the rooms are gift boxes that can be broken open with the players' shots. One shot opens the top and reveals their contents, but be careful - some of the boxes contain punch traps that can stun the players or time bombs that will blow them up if they do not get away. If the box contains an item, shoot it again to destroy the box and make it available. Certain weapons are most effective against certain enemies. While any weapon can take out Heitai (the pellet can only take out Heitai), Cars need to be destroyed with wheels, Domdoms with pins, and so on. The game will indicate which types of enemy are vulnerable to the weapons the players currently possess. For a challenge, the players can try to destroy all the enemies in a room before clearing it out. They will get a bonus if they can accomplish the task. Once the players open the exit they must hurry through - the room will begin to close in around them if they wait. Finally, every so often, the wizard Mahou comes along and he is not vulnerable to the players' average shots. To destroy Mahou, the players need to uncover one of the super weapons by collecting three special icons (there are two types) that are scattered around the rooms. One of the weapons is a star shot that can destroy any enemy. The other is a tornado attack. If hit by an enemy, the players lose their outer clothes and are reduced to underclothes. If the players get hit again they die, but they can look around for new sets of clothes.
