[edit] Move? eh?

While the technical name is Corolla Matrix, it's still known by most consumers as the Matrix. In articles of people with professional names (i.e. Carmen Electra), the article isn't titled with their actual name, but the name they're commonly known by. Why did you not start a discussion over this before actually moving? I'm moving it back to Toyota Matrix. If you have any objections, discuss it here, first. [edit] Water Leak Problem

Hello, I bought a Toyota Matrix January 6,2005. After about 2 months I noticed when it rains, water leaks from the passenger side, top, front pillar that separates the windshield from the door. It has been back to the dealership 3 times, and the source of the leak can not be found. I was told "A repair cannot be made if the source can't be found" and I was given the car back. I was was also told by the dealership "The company (Toyota) would keep an open file on this issue so if other people file similar complaints and it becomes a common issue then I would be covered for the repair, as part of the group." I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. Donna Humphreys

You should check an auto msg-board or your dealer for help! --LeoTheLion 19:08, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

I continue to have the water leak problem. I have been in a loaner car for more then 6 weeks total, and the dealership can't recreate the water leak in the shop. I filed and went to arbitration against toyota and lost because the dealership never saw the water inside the car, and I couldn't prove the water was coming in. (the water had dried before I could get the car into the dealership)So looks like I'm stuck. Any sugestions? Thanks Donna

Donna, this isn't an appropriate place to discuss your car problems. As the previous user suggested, you should seek out automobile messageboards. There are quite a few if you search on Google. --NormanEinstein 18:27, August 31, 2005 (UTC)
Donna unlike others I am glad you posted here. Wikipedia is made for info and it is supposed to be able to be altered, at will, with valid info. This is valid info... To respond to inquiry, I have a had similar problem with water and mold forming in my low milage garage kept Matrix. Mine is at the dealership as we speak, this will be great ammo for them to get going on repairing this as a warrantied item. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.202.181.172 (talk • contribs)
Wikipedia does have policies and guidelines regarding the use of talk pages. They're meant for discussion on improving the associated article. From Wikipedia:Talk page: "In other words, talk about the article, not about the subject. It's only the habits we encourage that keep Wikipedia from turning into another h2g2 or Everything2." While I commiserate with your individual car problems, they're not exactly encyclopedic material, and you'd probably find more support on a dedicated Matrix car-owners discussion forum. --NormanEinstein 17:34, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

"Some would consider that the Matrix nameplate was appropriated from the popular film franchise to which Toyota also rebadged their Kluger crossover SUV as the Highlander (again, appropriating another film franchise)."
