[edit] Auto-block

I unblocked you. See Wikipedia:Autoblock for the reason you were effected by the block on Urbanshocker. Prodego talk 17:49, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request to remove autoblock

hi, i'm ToxicArtichoke and you need to unblock me. here is the message I recieved:

Your IP address, which is 205.188.116.71
The name of the blocking admin, which is Can't sleep, clown will eat me
The reason you were blocked, which is:
Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Cackletta76". The reason given for Cackletta76's block is: "vandalism account".

i don't know who the hell cackletta 76 IS.

Hello ToxicArtichoke. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I have cleared the autoblock. The reason that this is happening is that you unfortunately share network space with a Wikipedia vandal who also uses America Online from the same region as you. To avoid these problems in the future, please try connecting to Wikipedia over our secure connection at https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Special:Userlogin using Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox rather than the native AOL browser. Thanks! Can't sleep, clown will eat me 18:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Reddelicious.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Reddelicious.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Durin 18:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dimitra Ekmektsis

The immediate reason why I deleted the article on Dimitra Ekmektsis is because it had been proposed for deletion on March 29 by user:BillDeanCarter and no one had objected to the proposal within the allotted time. The reason BillDeanCarter gave for the "prod" was:

  • This article about a self-published source was spawned from the Aaron Sorkin article, and I have recently removed mention of the self-published source from the Aaron Sorkin article. It does not belong in this encyclopedia, according to Wikipedia:Attribution.

When I glanced over the article I found it had nothing that would meet our standards for notability, WP:BIO, and had no 3rd-party sources. If these problems can be fixed then perhaps an acceptable article can be created. I suggest you address these concerns with BillDeanCarter directly. If you feel the article deletion should be reviewed then the WP:DRV would be the appropriate venue. -Will Beback · · 07:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bushler.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. [edit] Image:Ltwguys.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ltwguys.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Iamunknown 00:38, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] JasonBermasInvestigate.jpg

I have tagged Image:JasonBermasInvestigate.jpg as {{replaceable fair use}}. If you wish to dispute this assertion, please add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} to the image description page and a comment explaining your reasoning to the the image talk page. Iamunknown 00:39, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
