Town of Goondiwindi is a Local Government Area in the Darling Downs region of Queensland, Australia. The Town area covers the urban locality of Goondiwindi, Queensland and is bordered on the south by the state of New South Wales and to the north, east and west by Waggamba Shire.
Goondiwindi was first proclaimed a Municipality on the 20 October 1888. The Town boundaries have not altered to this day[1]
The Council provides many functions in partnership with Waggamba Shire, including libraries and area promotion.
