Town and Country is a city in west St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 10,894 at the 2000 census. Town and Country has the highest median household income of any city in Missouri with population over 10,000 and also has one of the highest median incomes of any city in the United States. The city is a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri and is home to Bellerive Country Club, which hosted the 1992 PGA Championship and 1965 US Open.

Strict residential zoning requirements have maintained large yards and property grounds while unintentionally allowing the continued growth of large populations of white tail deer, to the amusement and ire of many residents. The deer population reached unprecedented levels in the 1990s, leading to a city-sponsored program that air lifted deer to surrounding areas.
Primary thoroughfares traversing the city are Clayton and Ladue Roads.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 10,894 people, 3,593 households, and 2,849 families residing in the city. The population density was 916.8 people per square mile (354.1/km²). There were 3,741 housing units at an average density of 314.8/sq mi (121.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 90.16% White, 2.01% African American, 0.06% Native American, 6.33% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.23% from other races, and 1.20% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.07% of the population.
There were 3,593 households out of which 33.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.0% were married couples living together, 4.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.7% were non-families. 18.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.69 and the average family size was 3.08.
In the city the population was spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 16.9% from 25 to 44, 31.1% from 45 to 64, and 21.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 47 years. For every 100 females there were 87.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.5 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $139,967, and the median income for a family was $167,875. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $41,691 for females. The per capita income for the city was $69,347. About 1.4% of families and 2.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.4% of those under age 18 and 0.9% of those age 65 or over.
