Town Tavern

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Town Tavern was a famous jazz club in Toronto, Canada, from the 1950s through to the late 1970s. The art deco building hosted an afterhours jazz club with rehearsal bands for a while before it was bought and turned into a workout club, and then resold again. It was a key part of the 1950s Toronto jazz scene.

The building is not marked for historical purposes yet, unlike the spot where the Colonial Tavern existed.
