[edit] Redeveloped

After the colliery's closure (and the end of the fright service) the rail line between Aberdare and Rhigos could be sold to Arriva Trains Wales. This would allow the extension of the Aberdare branch of the Merthyr Line further up the valley and and the re-opening of the stations is Trecynon, Llwydcoed, Hirwaun and Rhigos.

[edit] Opera

There was an opera written about the miners buying their mine...I remember it premeried at The Grand Theatre in Swansea; does anyone think that this deserves a mention?Fishystick 21:59, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

This article should be much, much longer. The Tower symbolises one of the few triumphs of the workers over capital and should be recognised as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.31.123.139 (talk) 15:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
