Tout le monde en parle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tout le monde en parle is the name of a talk show in both France and Quebec. The French title means "everyone's talking about it". Word for word it is all the world speaks of it. The direct object pronoun en is used instead of y because parler takes the preposition "de" and not "a" after it.
It is a cultural show, much like late-night U.S. political talk show Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher which invites many guests to talk about current events, and is the center of a lot of talk and controversy.
The show originated in France on France 2 in 1998, with Thierry Ardisson as the host and Laurent Baffie as the co-host. A Quebec version debuted in 2004 on Radio-Canada with Guy A. Lepage as host and Dany Turcotte as "le fou du roi". Although the title and concept is the same, there is no other connection and production and content is entirely separate.
