[edit] History
Shakira, supporting her first English album, Laundry Service, with her first world tour, sang and interacted with the crowd in English and Spanish and mesmerized them with her trademark dancing, which she considers to be the universal language.
Shakira anonunced the Tour of the Mongoose on September 22, 2002 at a press conference in The Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
Shakira actually goes barefoot through out her whole concert tour, which includes wardrobe changes.
Shakira's wardrobe people went out and had her wardrobe collection designed. The wardrobe included black leather pants, red leather pants, plaid pants, sheer curtain top, punk rock tee, diamond tee, jewelry, beret, and black bikini tops.
Filmings of the tour were used for Live & Off the Record, a CD & DVD from the tour released in 2004.
Shows in São Paulo, Brazil ; Asunción, Paraguay ; Moscow, Russia (at the Koncertinni Arena Complex) and Manchester, England were dated, but they weren't to the media, by logistical problems, so, they were canceled.
