[edit] Added Historical Info

Please critique, discuss if you feel the desire. Just making the article not sound like an advertisement. Maunakea 06:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Your contributions are much more encyclopedic than the POV-filled suggestions of sites to see (although some citations might be nice--I see you did ask for people to put "citation needed" marks, so I assume you have some sources; that's not a big concern of mine). Perhaps rather than deleting the article as I indicated I might suggest below, we could make the article more along the lines of what you've contributed--a history of the tourism and statistics.
I wonder, though, if that might not be better-placed in the main Hawai'i article--this may not warrant its own article.
In any case, thanks for your contributions--by saying the article was POV, etc., I was in no way referring to your contributions. cluth 19:51, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not encyclopedic and POV: VfD?

As mentioned abobe, this article seems like it could (and should) be copied into Wikitravel and removed from here. It's not encyclopedic and filled with POV.

Only problem with copying to WT is the licensing (WP uses GFDL; WT uses CC). I haven't yet read WT's Hawai'i page, but I would suspect that most of what's here is there, too.

Perhaps the original contributors can go to WT and post their contributions there (thereby relicensing them in the CC license.

Any thoughts? I'm eternally busy, but if I manage to come back here and not find any discussion after several weeks or so, I may attempt to go through the history and contact the major contributors about relicensing their contributions in CC and/or posting them over on Wikitravel. I may then put up a Vote for Deletion here. (I've never done that before, so I'm not entirely sure how that process works, but I'll look into it.) cluth 19:44, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
