Toshiko Abe

Toshiko Abe (阿部 俊子? born May 19, 1959) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Miyagi Prefecture, she attended Miyagi Gakuin Women's Junior College and school at Mitsui Memorial Hospital (三井記念病院?) in Chiyoda, Tokyo and received a Ph.D from University of Chicago in the United States. She was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2005.
