Talk:Toss juggling
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page is crap. I recommend it be reduced down to a very short description of the term "toss juggling", in other words, throwing and catching balls clubs and rings. All the rest that talks about the details of juggling patterns is not suitable for an encyclopedia, which is what this website is... not a "how to juggle" guide or a personal website. Actually, I'll strip it all out now, and if you want to add back in some details, go for it, but please consider what makes a good encyclopedia entry. - A guy who cares.
I'm working my way through the juggling articles... Juggling is expanding to encompass ALL the juggling arts, and an overview of each one. Where warranted, each form of juggling will have its own article as well. Please don't merge this with Juggling, but if it seems right, some of this information may be added there... just not too much as Toss Juggling can easily overpower the whole article.Pedant 03:27, 2004 Nov 7 (UTC)
I agree with Pedant, don't merge this or reduce this just yet. Juggling as an art form seems to be picking up steam, especially through people like Jason Garfield with his infamous Chris Bliss Diss. And also, technically, if you were to open up an encyclopedia to "Juggling," you would probably want a description of Juggling as well as a description of how to perform said act, at least in a facial and summative sense. No, leave it for now.
Also, does the phrase "Juggling is Fun" really need a citation? I mean really.
I'll raise issue with the "Reflexes" section of this article. From what I've learned juggling doesn't improve your refexes as much as your object tracking and path prediction skills. You don't juggle well by throwing the balls wildly, and then catching them quickly where ever they come down, you watch the paths of the balls and more your hands to where you think the balls will come down.
