[edit] Possible alternate album title of Japanese re-release?

I have seen at least one reference to a 1957 Verve release titled, Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi II (link) credited to "MUZE UK Ltd.'s "Encyclopedia of Popular Music".

"... Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi i (Verve 1954)***, one side only Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi ii (Verve 1957),..."

I have been unable to find any other reference to this Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi II album title however and I suspect this is the (informal?) title of the Japanese release of the 1957 Verve recording Toshiko and Leon Sash at Newport (as this 1957 ...at Newport album has only one side of Akiyoshi's music, the other side being Leon Sash's set). Another possibility is that the title, Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi II may have been used (officially or informally?) for the 1957(?) Japanese re-release of 1954's Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi that included (as a bonus) the four Akiyoshi tracks from Toshiko and Leon Sash at Newport. In any case, I do not believe there is a unique Amazing...II album that contains any material not already included in Amazing Toshiko Akiyoshi or Toshiko and Leon Sash at Newport. If anyone can find a reference that confirms or denies this assumption, please post it here and/or update the article accordingly. Pugetbill (talk) 01:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
