[edit] Sherzo
Hey, I'm a teacher and i prefer not say since i increasingly use this account for personal interestsand i'd prefer not to say since i don't really want the students finding out i'm a fan of computer games, zombies, techno thrillers and post apocalyptic fiction. but at the moment of writing this i'm in Portsmouth England for the D-Day commeneration with my grandfather and father. Sherzo 23:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Britain's eldest child
[edit] GUST
no one had commented in some time, as JMalky stated the station doesn't fulfill the criteria for a television station, and the article that has replace is better, is notable and was mainly the work of JMalky and Tominsaac. Sherzo 18:40, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
when i previously mothballed it took months for anyone to respond, and it appears to be tact of people such as yourself to simple leave such things hanging in the hope that the status quo would remain. Sherzo 06:36, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
wikipedia is not a democracy, and your hopes of it existing ad infinitum because no one cares is poor form. Sherzo 15:39, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] British Student Television
"I wasn't implying that you had developed the page in secret, far from it. I was mostly commenting on Sherzo's comments that i had not put in any input. From where I came into the discussion on GUST, only Sherzo had implied, but not linked to the article in development form the GUST talk page. I'm unhappy with his bull in a china shop method when he closed the GUST article and moved your work in progress page live. Following that, after protests about the name, Sherzo began to enter into this rather snotty behaviour thinking he owns wikipedia. I don't agree with his rather hard line deletionist approach, and after his comments on British users in this debate, he has also lost my respect. TorstenGuise 16:04, 6 August 2007 (UTC)"
i felt it better to reply here than on tominsaac page, when exactly have i been snotty you are the one, whom arrogantly claimed that anyone outside britain would be unable to comment on any aspect of british culture and that we are all automatically biased. when exactly did i say i owned wikipedia? i repeatly asked you to make substantive contributions to the article as i did everyone who commented on the Nasta i have actively encouraged anyone and everyone for there input as unlike you i accept i have limited knowledge. I worked hard on that article i researched at length to find relevant and interest information all of which was accurate and i checked the sources where i could and even wrote to the best of my ability in British spellings. Simply leaving articles ad infinitum until you feel like contributing at your own leisurely pace is not acceptable wikipedia is about the facts not yours or mine personal truths. As such not only was nasta not notable it was misleading as both Tominsaac and Jmalky will admit in there efforts of self promotion and i respect them for there honest and they have both contributed to this article, yet you with your incredible knowledge of all facets of britain have yet to make on substantive contribution.
how exactly am i a hardline deletionist?
amd in future if you have something to say about me say it to my face (electronically speaking.)
You have been arrogant repeatedly simply by saying that I or any other non brit is incapable of editing a British article, because if you live in the UK you always know better which is simple not the case. As for the sensitives of groups or individuals that is none of Wikipedia concern wiki is about facts not "truth", or else the evolution, dinosaurs and earth history articles would all have to be edited so as not to offend creationist. As for the Irish i'm well aware of what a small lunatic fringe (after dealing with editors like Mikel Fikel and Sarah777) say about Britain and the British but i don't equate the word British with Nazi, and again even if did wikipedia would not be the place. Secondly even the Irish don't hold these beliefs, so perturbed by such users i actually phoned the Irish embassy would said it was all nonsense of a few lunatics, like in any country and gave me a list of the close connection between the nations. so what exactly is your point? have you studied Irish and British history? and if so to what level (given that in the UK you only have to study it till 14 and hardly anyone bothers with it anymore) if not on what to base your assumptions?
as for calling on you add content, i was the first to admit my limitations with this article and constantly asked others to get involved particularly from the UK, you constantly berate me for not being in the UK or being British yet having the audacity to edit a british related article, yet are unwilling to do make contribution yourself.
Sherzo 06:52, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
as for the name to include Ireland in the title would misrepresent the article as it really at this point only trivia that an Irish station join a british group. Sherzo 06:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
first when exactly did i mention the Nazis, WW2 or Hitler as use them as a comparsion to you? so i think your in error when you accuse me of breaking godwins
second i aim to improve wikipedia, to make it a useful source of information and require sources for claims is hardly a jobsworth for the rule is anyone is doing that it be you with your form over substance concerns about a title.
I have spent time in Ireland and in many parts of Britain including London, Guildford, Birmingham.
as for the name i have frequently will comments on that talk page referred to it. you are the one who first began attacking me as an imcompentant ignorant foreign editor. I actually think its important to edit on articles you have no prior knowledge or opinions that way you are most likely to get well researched, reference and Neutral articles.
but on the name since i would hold that the Irish half sentence mention is trivia at best at isn't worth including in the article title as it makes it misleading, what is exactly wrong with British student television? American articles are frequently called just that rather than "in the united states" so what is your exact reasoning for the change? i'm am always open to rational argument and you have other than petulant comments about the mental inferiority of us non Brits yet to present your reasoning?
oh and by the way are you middle or upper class?
Sherzo 17:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
I'd hardly call it vandalism to remove edits you made to try and strength your position in a debate because you are either unable or unwilling to present arguments for it. Sherzo 19:24, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sherzo (CR7)
Lovely, does this mean we can move the article then? *Grins* CR7 23:53, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- 'Kay. I'll pop a note on the talk page asking for any further objections. CR7 23:59, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
well aren't you lovely, really a great representation of the british aren't you, really make a fine impression of your country, but as one of english friends says the middle class are the cause of all britain problems Sherzo 19:25, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- You don't even know what class I'm of! Look after your own country's problems before criticising ours. CR7 (message me) 20:07, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
How do we block Sherzo indefinatley? He continues to vandalize List of United States Presidents by military service. He also leaves very rude remarks on talk pages.
- Drop a request here. If you put a request down I'll definately second the motion. Edit: it's not idefinate, it's temporary. If he started being a nuisance after getting unblokced temporarily then he'd get blocked permanently. CR7 (message me) 23:00, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

- I sympathise with you entirely, just don't let him get to you. I think Sherzo's tactics are becoming quite clear and his nomination for you will be turned down regardless of your claims, he has no evidence. I've linked the sections to one another. The British student TV discussion is moving along slowly, so far Sherzo is the only objector (again), but the clear consensus is currently for support. I'm keeping an eye on the admin. page too. - He opened an incident report on you? This user is really starting to aggravate me. You clearly have done nothing wrong, and he keeps bring the fact that some users are British up. Next time he edits an article controversially, please report him, as he is on his final warning, and the edit should be considered vandalism under such terms. I'm with you, man. -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 17:17, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

- I find it somewhat ironic that he criticises Britons even though the article is about Britain and Ireland. I shalln't think that Sherzo's final warning will last long, he reverted List of United States Presidents by military service again earlier so it is likely he'll try reverting it again sometime soon. It's unbeliveable, I do hope he's blocked once and for all. CR7 (message me) 15:47, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I really feel this is an obvious ban. I also feel the admins are procrastinating on this. He is being both arrogant and ignorant, and doesn't respect what other people think. He's kind of a liar too, thinking of the way he reported you, as you didn't show that the British were superior or anything. I'm starting to get confused over this, just ban him already! -JacќяМ ¿Qué? 16:01, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

- I agree with you JacќяM, this has been going on for long enough. The initial complaint was opened 2 days ago and it still hasn't been resolved. Something needs doing. Can it be escalated or something? CR7 (message me) 17:59, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
I have placed another complaint on User:Sherzo, however, no one seems to want to do anything about his uncivility. I got blamed for personal attacks and threatened to be blocked by and administrator for reporting him. I know he has been very uncivil towards you and he keeps making politically charged edits on pages that he has been asked over and over not to do. I don't understand, is he some kind of admin friend or something?User:Bluecord18August2007 —The preceding signed but undated comment was added at 23:49:18, August 18, 2007 (UTC).
[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] reverts
you shouldn't bother reverting those insults its just Bluecord, and there fun to collect, but thank you anyway Sherzo 13:53, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Many thanks for re-opening the GUST notability debte. I'd given up trying to rescue the article from persistent AfD nominations that I just didn't understand, so I'm thrilled to see it reinstated. JMalky 19:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Infuriating, isn't it? I'm not usually fond of citing wikipedia guidelines, but I think this whole thing could be settled by paying attention to WP:DIK JMalky 10:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
i find it funny that someone who's little cabal would sink to the depths of trying to impersonate me while launching legal threats at others to accuse others of being dicks, also if you look i always wait for a lack of response on the talk page. Sherzo 23:31, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
just you and your little cabal, a man can be judged by the company he keeps, and if the sort of company you keep has a problem with me thats tells me i'm on the right track. Sherzo 00:01, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
See my reply on my talk page. JMalky 22:14, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] LSE
as for the LSE i put in RfCs and 3rr request but no one cared, as for deleting it, that would be stupid since it only have to creat as a redirect again anyway. Sherzo 23:48, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RFCU
Thanks for letting me know. I didn't, and I'm frankly surprised. I think 'fishing' is an understatement. Someone didn't bother to check their facts at all. I've been editing since 2004, and participated in four of that day's AfDs, !voting 'delete' in all but one case. Jakew 13:40, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

- You can't take someone to arbitration for requesting a checkuser. But it may be evidence of a pattern of failure to assume good faith, perhaps suitable for a request for comment. Jakew 14:02, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I guess you are probably right. Although we have put a dispute up before, it is probably best to go there first. Would you like to open it? CR7 (message me) 14:05, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] February 2008
Your contributions history shows that you have been aggressively cross-posting, in order to influence Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities. Although the Arbitration Committee has ruled that "The occasional light use of cross-posting to talk pages is part of Wikipedia's common practice."1, such cross-posting should adhere to specific guidelines. In the past, aggressively worded cross-posting has contributed towards an Arbitration Committee ruling of disruptive behavior that has resulted in blocks being issued. It is best not to game the system, and instead respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building, by ceasing to further crosspost, and instead allowing the process to reflect the opinions of editors that were already actively involved in the matter at hand.
